Palumbo Superyachts is pleased to confirm the acquisition of the Savona-based “Mondomarine”, one of the most famous Italian shipyards.
This addition further expands the business horizons of Palumbo Superyachts, the yachting division of the Palumbo Group which is the largest naval refit/repair network in the Mediterranean and East Atlantic with 8 other shipyards strategically located in Ancona, Naples, Messina, Malta (2), Marseille (France), Tenerife (Spain) and recently Rijeka (Croatia).
“We worked on this acquisition for almost a year – Giuseppe Palumbo, CEO, explains – since Mondomarine is a renowned brand in a unique location just an hour drive from Monaco. We are confident that Mondomarine will boost opportunities for new constructions and refit/maintenance services. We are extremely happy for the goal achieved”.
International designers have now been hired to design the new Mondomarine yacht projects while preserving the company’s core values of one of the oldest yachting shipyards, founded over a century ago in 1915.
Over the past 50 years, Palumbo Group has grown from a small carpentry for a local activity, to a Group that reached the same playing field as some of the world’s largest yacht builders. Today the multi-brand Group is known for its unrivaled capabilities in the new build and refit of ships and superyachts. The Palumbo Group currently operates 9 shipyards across Italy, France, Spain and Malta, and a branch office in Monaco.
